in culture and yet so very close to nature
Looking for a pleasant terrace with a great view overlooking a new part of Amsterdam?
Go to Café Vrijburcht in Ijburg! This modern, new café is next to a little theatre which means that there is a crowd of culture vulture type locals with their kids who turn up for a good glass of wine and a decent meal. The space has a sober decor with a concrete floor, simple wooden table tops, dark brown chairs and a black lacquered bar.
Late arrival and hungry?: text me, I talk to the chef.
Massage in your own room or @ Petra's?
Also very close
Being here and one of your presents will be cutting your hair. Very possible.
Just walk in or let me do it.

on your table come from Nicoline who wakes up very early to buy the flowers in Aalsmeer.
She is my number 1 fav florist!
Steigereiland is called after its many piers (1). You find Steigereiland South at the south west side of the tram line, where many dwellers got the chance to design their houses themselves.
This yields very special street views, especially in these streets: J.O. Vaillantlaan, Edmond Halleyaan and James Bradleystraat (3). Interior design centre Design020 at the Pedro de Medinalaan 89 is worth a visit because of its products, but also because of the building, the views on the water and the view from the roof terrace (1). Interior design shop Designlabels Amsterdam at Pedro de Medinalaan 53 is next to Design020
